Ivey Child Development Center is a licensed facility designed to provide for the cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth of children. Our preschool and before/afterschool programs expose children to a variety of stimulating experiences through exploration and discovery within the areas of art, music, science, math, language, and social studies. With loving care and skillful guidance, our teachers and staff provide opportunities for intellectual development at levels pertinent to the needs of each age group.

At Ivey, we are passionate about children and youth development. We work to ensure that you and your child have a wonderful experience in which your satisfaction and child's growth is manifested to the highest degree.

Child Safety

Your child's safety is our top priority at Ivey Child Development Center. To ensure that your child remains safe within our facility, all of the classrooms are located in a designated area that is secured by a coded door which remains locked at all times. Our staff also reserve the right to ask for identification before releasing any children from our care for their safety.

To further ensure the safety of your child, it is a requirement that we conduct fire drills and other evacuation plans regularly within our programs. Each staff member withholds a CPR/First certification and has received the Daily Health Observation(DHO) training. Members of the administrative staff have also recieved Medication Administration (MAT) training in order to properly administer medicine to any child upon parental request.

Our Staff

Ivey Child Development Center has a diverse group of well-trained staff members. Each member of our staff must meet the state licensing requirements to qualify to work with our students. All staff are required to have pass fingerprint back ground checks and complete an additional 16 hours of child care training for continuing education per year. Most of our staff have been with our center a number of years and have detailed child care experience. Below you will find a list of each member of our team:
